Wallpapers by St. Augustine Book

St. Augustine

St. Augustine (or San Agustín) was first visited by Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon as he was searching for the "Fountain of Youth" in 1515. Exactly 50 years later a permanent settlement was established here by the Spanish crown and remained under their rule for almost 200 years. Many of the grand estates and historic buildings from that time period still remain to this day and is so majestic, it inspired its own wallpaper collection. The designs featured in this book embody the styles of the Spanish Renaissance era which were imported to the Florida peninsula during colonial times, most of which remain untouched and unmolested to this very day.
