Type I Commercial vinyl wallcovering is a 12 Oz to 15 Oz weight which is an ideal application for light to medium traffic areas. It is ideally suited for areas like schools, offices, hospitals, apartment buildings and many other commercial areas. Being a little lighter weight than some really heavy vinyl’s, it features a budget friendly price which makes large jobs more affordable. They are manufactured to meet or surpass minimum physical and performance characteristics set forth in Federal Specifications CCC-W-408, and are classified by flame spread and smoke development based on ASTM E-84 Steiner Tunnel Test or NEPA 286, using the corner burn test. The lighter weight is also a little easier to apply than the very heavy vinyl’s.
